Bipin Tripathi Kumaon Institute of Technology (BTKIT) is an autonomous government institute established in 1986. It is affiliated to Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun. The institute offers various B. Tech, M.Tech and Ph.D. programs.

Bipin Tripathi Kumaon Institute of Technology offers the admission to B.Tech program on the basis of the score of JEE Main or UKSEE followed by counselling.

User Facts:
- 60 seats are available in each discipline of B.Tech course except for Bio- Chemical Engineering for which the total intake is 30.
- In each branch, 2% of intake is reserved for Kashmiri migrants.
- 5% seats are reserved under Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme.
- 10% and 5% seats are reserved for other state quota and Non-Resident Indian (NRIs) respectively.
BTKIT Scholarship Details 2023
BTKIT offers three scholarships with different criteria to the aspiring students:
- Merit Scholarship: INR 3000 per year is given to 10% of the admitted students. The scholarship is based on the marks obtained by the student in the subsequent semesters.
- SC, ST and OBC Scholarship: Available for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe and Backward Class students as per the rules fixed by Samaj Kalyan Vibhag, Uttarakhand.
- National Scholarship: Central Government offers this benefit to the students on the basis of their performance in academics.
