Globsyn Business School (GBS) was founded in 2002 by Mr. Bikram Dasgupta. GBS offers two All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved programmes (PGDM & PGDM-Business Analytics). The GBS MBA (Global) programme offers specialisation in International Business in collaboration with Malaysia University of Science and Technology. GBS Kolkata admission is based on the candidate's scores in one of the following entrance exam scores: CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ ATMA/ JEMAT (varies from course to course). 

Since its inception, Globsyn Business School has recorded optimum placements. The highest package offered in the GBS Placement Season 2023 was Rs 23.34 LPA and the average package offered was Rs 7.51 LPA. In the last academic year, over 100 national and international companies recruited students from the B-school. GBS Kolkata also offers scholarships to meritorious students from economically disadvantaged families.

It is located 45 km away from the campus. GBS Kolkata is situated 12 km away from the Howrah Station. With a distance of 2.1 km, Amtala Bus Stand is the nearest bus stand to the institute. The institute provides a large number of placement and internship opportunities to the students. GBS Kolkata highest salary package stood at Rs 23.34 LPA whereas the 2nd highest CTC stood at Rs 20.14 LPA and the 3rd highest CTC stood at Rs 13.58 LPA. The GBS average CTC stood at Rs 7.51 LPA. From the 2018-20 batch to the 2021-23 batch, the GBS average salary package has seen a 49.30% jump from Rs 5.03 LPA to Rs 7.51 LPA. The institute has a Corporate Relationship Programme (CRP) under which students are trained and provided guidance. To prepare students for GBS Kolkata placements, the college conducts industrial visits to ensure students are well informed about the ongoing industrial chances.
