The MIT Academy of Engineering (MITAOE) was established under the prestigious MIT group of schools in Pune. The college has recently become the third institute in Pune which has been awarded with ‘Academic autonomy’ by UGC. On top of that, the institute has been accredited with A grade by NAAC and also by NBA for all it’s programs. 

The institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of engineering and research. It has started offering Design courses from the academic session 2023-24 as well.

MITAOE Pune Admissions 

Due to the current COVID 19 pandemic, the admissions would only be conducted through online mode. 

To be eligible for admissions for all the B.Tech courses, the candidate needs to secure qualifying marks in MH CET/JEE MAINS, which is then followed by counselling conducted by DTE Maharashtra.

To be eligible for admissions for the M.Tech courses, the candidate needs to secure qualifying marks in GATE which is then followed by counselling for the exam conducted by DTE Maharashtra. 

Note- The MH CET 2020 has also been postponed due to the current COVID 19. The new dates haven’t been announced yet.

MITAOE Pune Placements

The College also provides scholarship to the economically weak and meritorious students. The scholarship can be availed by the students whose parent’s annual income is below 2 lakh. You have to fill and submit the scholarship form on the MITAOE website.

• Library:  The central library of MITAOE provides access to a vast number of resources to students in a bid to expand the knowledge base of it’s faculty and students. 

The library houses more than 11,000 titles and 48,000 volumes. The library encompasses a huge collection of journals, magazines, e - books CD - DVDs etc. 

It also has the facility of a digital library with a large number of e - books, online journals, video lectures, e- resources, exam related materials etc. 

The library has also subscribed to video courses from some notable digital learning platforms such as NPTEL, SWAYAM and National Digital Library. 

• Sports: The college has a strong foundation for sports owing to its multiple sports facilities. 

The college has the facility for many outdoor and indoor sports such as badminton, carrom, chess, football, volleyball, table tennis to help the students stay fit and inculcate sports skills in them. 

The students also regularly take part in inter college, intra college and inter departmental sports competitions. There is also the provision of primary first aid and counselling for the staff and students when required.

Ques. Does the college provide internship opportunities?

Ans. Yes. The college provides internship opportunities and has even collaborated with some industries and foreign universities to enhance the knowledge and skills of students. 

Ques. How are the design courses in the college? 

Ans. The design courses have been introduced by the college in 2020 itself. therefore , there is not much information about the same.

Ques. Are there any concessions for the reserved category candidates?

MIT Academy of Engineering, Alandi B.Tech. Admission 2023

MIT Academy of Engineering offers full-time B.Tech. course in eight major specializations. Minimum eligibility to apply for the course is having passed HSC Examination with at least 50% marks (5% marks relaxation for reserved category) in aggregate having Mathematics or Physics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry, Biotechnology or Biology, technical or vocational subjects. Candidates will have to appear in JEE Main exam or MHT-CET conducted by DTE, Maharashtra before applying for the admission to the course.

It also offers Direct Entry to 2nd year of B.Tech. course. Interested candidates who have cleared Diploma or B.Sc. with minimum 50% marks (45% marks for reserved category) from a recognized board in the Engineering stream may apply for the course. Applicant must have Mathematics in 10+2 to be eligible for admission to B.Tech. lateral entry scheme.

Key Points:

• Admission to B.Tech. program by non-Maharashtrian candidates shall be based on the merit in JEE Main.
• While those who belong to Maharashtra state will be based on MHT-CET.
• Candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ ST/PH category of Maharashtra State gets a relaxation of 5% marks in the aggregate score.

MIT Academy of Engineering, Alandi M.E. Admission 2023

MIT Academy of Engineering offers admission to M.E. in Computer Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering to candidates with 50% marks in Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an AICTE approved institute or equivalent. Final selection of candidates is based upon the scores obtained in GATE in addition to merit in qualifying exam.

Key Points:

• Candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ ST/PH category of Maharashtra State gets a relaxation of 5% marks in the aggregate score.
• The total intake for M.E. course is 18 students in each branch.

MIT Academy of Engineering, Alandi Application Process 2023

The application process for MIT Academy of Engineering is online only. However, candidates seeking admission in B.Tech. and M.E. must register themselves for MHT-CET/JEE Main and GATE respectively through the respective official website.

• Applicants can apply through both online and offline mode.
• For the online forms, candidates can fill the form available at the official website of DTE Maharashtra.
• The application fee will be calculated on the basis of candidature type, category, and person with disability.
• The admission fee for First year B.Tech course is INR 1000 for general candidates.
• Application fee for M.Tech. courses is INR 1000.

For direct admission to second year engineering courses:

• The application fee for general category candidates from outside of Maharashtra state and children of Indian workers in Gulf countries is INR 500.
• The application fee for reserved category candidates from Maharashtra state and person with disability is INR 400.
