Established in 2003, the Sagar Institute of Research and Technology (SIRT) is located in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. SIRT is approved by the AICTE, accredited by the NBA and is affiliated to Barkatullah University (BU Bhopal). It is the first institute of Sagar Group of Institutions (SGI), Bhopal and has been certified with ISO 9001:2008. SGI has a total of four sister institutes, including SIRT, SIRT-S, SIRT-E and SIRT-Indore offering over 25 courses. It has established the SAGE University at Indore and Bhopal in 2017 and 2020, respectively. The team of SIRT was selected among top 200 teams and was ranked 52 in Smart India Hackathon 2018 for innovating an idea related to water resources. Also, it became eligible to get up to Rs 25 lakh from the GoI to establish its own start-up on a 20-acre land.

Sagar Institute of Research and Technology is among the top placement Engineering colleges in MP for its centric teaching-learning process, through which, the students are able to develop their skills. These experiences include live projects, group discussions, brainstorming, role play, guest lectures, seminars, workshops, group assignments, case studies and much more.
