About AEEE
Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering (AEEE) is the entrance test administered and conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham for admission to its prestigious B.Tech programs offered across its various campuses.
AEEE is a national-level exam, known for its rigorous and fair assessment of candidates’ aptitude in subjects like Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

Pattern of AEEE
Duration of the Exam : 150 Minutes (2.5 Hours)
Mode of Exam : Computer Based Test (CBT) held at various cities across the country.
Subjects:
Mathematics: 40 questions
Physics: 30 questions
Chemistry: 25 questions
English: 5 questions
Marks: 3 (three) marks are awarded for each correct answer and -1 (minus one) for each wrong answer.
How to Apply
Interested candidates can login to the official admission portal, https://aeee.amrita.edu , to submit their application online. To submit the application form, candidates must fill out personal information and academic profile. Candidates must select one of AEEE 2025, JEE Mains while deciding on the mode of admissions. Select the exam centre, date, and slot information if you’ve chosen AEEE 2025.
Eligibility
Candidates desirous of joining Amrita B.Tech. programs shall satisfy the following eligibility & criteria before the commencement of classes.
Age: Candidates, whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 2003 upto 30th June 2009.
Educational Qualification: A pass in 10 + 2 (Class XII) or its equivalent examination from a recognized board with minimum 60% aggregate of marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and with not less than 55% in each of these three subjects, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidate passing out in 2025 and passed out in 2024 can apply
Admission Process
According to the performance of candidates in the entrance exam, candidates who meet the requirements for AEEE 2025 will be offered admission to the University’s B.Tech programmes through a Centralised Seat Allotment Process (CSAP). Two phases of the AEEE will be held in January and April 2025. Candidates can attend the exam in January or April. The AEEE is conducted at more than 90 centres spread across the country. Best percentile score is taken to rank the candidates attending both the phases.
Additionally, the university grants admission to its engineering programmes based on the percentile secured in JEE Mains also. 70% of the seats in each branch are open to applicants with the AEEE 2025. Rest of the 30% seats are reserved for those who received good percentile scores in one of the sessions of JEE Mains 2025.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham offers admission to majority of its 200+ undergraduate and post graduate programs in Engineering, Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy, Ayurveda, Bio-technology, Nanotechnology, Management, Arts and Sciences, Communication, Social Work, Philosophy & Applied Psychology and Teachers Education to NRI/OCI/PIO or Students sponsored by NRI/OCI/PIO parents.
